Lending his expertise will be Andrew Ky (Andy) Haynes, attorney at law and principal of Haynes Benefits PC in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Andy will explore and explain aspects of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) that will be implemented between 2012 and 2014, including State Exchanges.
Known as the "Singing Benefits Lawyer,” Andy’s informative and entertaining presentations uniquely combine his passions for both benefits law and music. Having practiced health benefits law for 25 years, he is a nationally known authority who works regularly with insurer, plan and service provider clients on matters including plan design and implementation, documentation, tax qualification and risk management. Andy has led more than 100 seminars, webinars and media events regarding Health Care Reform before both private and public sector audiences and is the author of two books currently published by EBIA, including HIPAA Portability, Privacy and Security and Group Health Plans: Federal Mandates Other Than COBRA & HIPAA.
